We partner with well-known manufacturers in the industry such as C.H.I. Quality, Quality, Quality!
While our manufacturers produce doors that are stunning to the eye with their carefully crafted designs and durable paint finishes, the actual “bones” of the garage door are just as important; and they deliver! Our doors will come with all commercial grade hardware such as high lifecycle torsion springs, solid steel ball bearing rollers with a nylon coating for smooth/quiet operation, heavy duty and oversized hinges, cables, tracking, drums, torsion tubes, pulleys, bearings, etc.
Door Options
Prefer an on-site door estimate?
Step 1: Size and Quantity
First we need to determine the size of the garage door(s). The standard size for a one car garage is 8x7, and for a two car, 16x7. Some doors, however, may be slightly taller or wider, so it is best to take a tape measure to the door frame for accuracy. We will always send someone to the home for a final measure before ordering the new door even if you start by working with our specialists over email.
Step 2: Insulation Type
Below are our most common insulation types:
1. Non-Insulated
The non-insulated door is our most economical option and comes in many designs. With one layer of steel and a hollow backing, this type does not provide any insulation or temperature control and does not have the added strength of the insulated options.
2. Two-Layer Insulated
This is our mid-grade insulated door. It has a layer of steel on the front and a thick layer of insulation on the interior of the door. A vinyl backing provides a layer of protection for the insulation. This door is slightly more cost effective than its three-layer counterpart, but the insulation factor is lower and it is more prone to knicks and scratches on the backside because it lacks the additional layer of steel.
3. Three-Layer Polystyrene Insulated (Recommended)
The three-layer polystyrene insulated door is our top seller due to its hardy construction, durability, and insulation factor. With a layer of premium steel on the front, thick insulation on the interior, and another layer of steel on the backside, this door is an excellent choice for both temperature control and durability. Whether or not you are looking to keep your garage temperature controlled, this type is a wonderful option for strength and longevity.
4. Three-Layer Polyurethane Insulated (Highest Insulation Factor)
This door is intended for those that want to go a step above for insulation. While this model is not as popular as the standard three layer due to its higher cost, it does provide a higher R-value for extreme temperature control and noise muffling to help keep sound out. This may be an excellent option if you have converted the garage into a room or would like to be very energy efficient (keeping temp controlled) or would like to protect things stored in the garage such as paint, chemicals, etc. This door will have a similar construction type as the standard, with two layers of premium steel on the outsides and a thick layer of top quality polyurethane insulation sandwiched in between the steel.
**Please note, if the garage is not already insulated and sealed well, the insulated door will not provide much temperature control. It is there to assist the already insulated garage.
